Photography involves the technology of handling a camera as well as the art of choosing the right subject and angle for your photograph. You must know which type of film you are using, the aperture of your camera and the exposure you have set as also it is important to choose the correct subject.
For a still photograph of some ornaments or furniture, etc. you can adjust the background (plain cloth / wall) or lighting (never directly behind the camera or on it). For nature, it must be a not-so-windy & not-very-foggy situation. Also an SLR is preferred. If you wish to snap some people then they should pose properly, i.e. to capture activity people must pose as naturally as possible (sometimes its best not to tell a person that you are shooting him/her). Top 10 percentile will get the prize & certificate, while the topper gets the Abhinav Star.
